Bio:

Zhuhui Sun is an M.A. student in American Studies at Yale University. She is interested in the histories of Chinese and Asian American communities in the United States, with a particular focus on migration, identity, and representation. Her work explores how Asian Americans have negotiated belonging across changing political and social contexts, and how these experiences have been expressed through print media. She is also interested in how contemporary popular culture and social media shape Asian American identities. She received her B.A. in Humanities from NYU Shanghai in 2026.

Zhuhui’s research interests have grown out of her work on Chinese immigration history, anti-Chinese labor movements, and Asian American representation in community publications.
