Nancy Billings

Nancy Billings is a first year doctoral student in American Studies and a 2023-2024 fellow at the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity and Transnational Migration (RITM). She graduated from Wesleyan University in 2019 where she majored in American Studies and Hispanic Literature and Culture. Her senior honor thesis examined Angel Island Immigration Station and its role in processing a hemispheric movement of Chinese migrants throughout the Americas. 

Her current research interests expand on her work as an undergraduate and center on US impacts and influence on Asian migration throughout the Americas in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
