Brianna is a PhD Student in American Studies and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Yale.

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Brianna graduated from Harvard University, cum laude, with High Honors in Social Studies and Studies of Women, Gender & Sexuality. She was a contributing writer for the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review and a research assistant on projects related to law and gender.

As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, Brianna researched Black womanhood within the larger conversation of gender and gender norms in America. Her senior thesis entitled “Not the Master’s Tool: An Evaluation of Intersectionality Theory in Anti-Discrimination Law,” focused on the evolution of intersectional discrimination within Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Brianna is also a JD Candidate matriculating at Stanford Law School in Fall 2027. Broadly, her interests are in the intersections of identity in the legal system. 

Outside of her research, Brianna enjoys exploring new culinary recipes, embarking on long walks with friends, and attending theater performances of any scale.
