American Studies senior Kavya Jain has won the Diane Kaplan Senior Essay Prize for her essay, CONFESSIONS OF A FAILED REVOLUTIONARY SUBJECT: TOI DERRICOTTE AND THE BLACK NOTEBOOKS IN THE ARCHIVE. The Diane Kaplan Prize recognizes outstanding essays on any topic based on research in any Yale Library special collections.
