Author Karla Cornejo Villavicencio discusses her account of undocumented life in the U.S., The Undocumented Americans (Penguin Random House, 2020), a finalist for the National Book Award in Nonfiction. Cornejo Villavicencio is a doctoral candidate in American Studies at Yale University and works closely with Professor Albert Laguna, a scholar of Latinx diasporic popular culture.
