An interview with Yimy Aldair Benitez Lopez, on conditions and resistance in ICE detention during COVID. Yimy, a transgender woman who came to the U.S. from Honduras in 2012, spent five months detained in the Hudson County Jail, an all male facility, and was inside when the pandemic hit. Yimy was central in organizing a hunger strike inside of the Hudson jail

to protest these ongoing, deadly conditions.
